Country restrictions for online booking

If you have online booking enabled, you can add country restrictions to online booking. Embodia will deduce the patient's country from their IP address. 

It is important to note that country restrictions might not work for every patient. The patient can use a VPN to change their IP address to another country, or in rare occasions, the lookup of the country from the IP address might return the wrong address. 

To add country restrictions to your account, from the the top bar, go to Consults > My Schedule  > My online booking profile > Country restrictions:

On the country restrictions page, you can choose to:

• Allow patients from any country to book: this is the default behaviour
• Only allow patients from the certain countries to book: If you select this option, an additional field will appear where you can list all the countries that you would like to "whitelist"
• Allow patients from any country except the following countries to book: If you select this option, an additional field will appear where you can list all the countries that you would like to "blacklist"
